This is an oldie, but goodie. One of my favorites and one of the ones I’ve chosen to enter in the Local Photo Contest in a few weeks.
I took this photo when I first got started back in late April/early May. It’s one of my absolute favorites. I have a color version, too. And just for the sake of showing it off, I shall now present it to you as my link up for Lovely Photo Wednesday with Aspire.

Read more...I’m back, folks. I feel like I have been gone forever because I haven’t A) Posted a lot in the past week; and B) Visited/Commented on your posts this past week. But today, I am here. Be excited. :-) And with me I’ve brought a few photos…
I already posted a photo similar to this for Macro Friday…but in lieu of my memory card messing up and losing all of my photos, I have to improvise and shoot something…so here ya’ go. :-)
I took Little Man to the park out by my parents house this weekend and started attempting to get some of his two year portraits. The leaves were falling, the weather was cool and I managed to snag a few beautiful candids! I’m really excited with how they turned out. I haven’t made it very far into my editing yet, but this is one of my favorites so far:
The warmth from the sunlight really made this photo seem like fall to me. Not sure why, but I loved the brightness, the warm colors and the sunshine so much. This is one of my absolute favorite photos of Little Man to date. The excitement that he is obviously feeling just makes me smile. I shot this using a Canon Rebel Xsi and a 50 mm lens. I edited in Photoshop Elements 8. Next week I promise I’ll write down the steps to how I edit so you guys can try it on your photos. :-) Head over to Monica’s for more before and after shots!
I’m behind. I can’t help it. I’m swamped right now and I’m afraid that it’s only going to get worse when we get our orders and I start trying to track us down somewhere to live. Not to mention, my photos that I shot for all of the challenges that I knew about this week, are gone thanks to a jacked up memory card. ::Hiss:: But no matter, here are the ones that I’ve been able to round up.

Read more...I’m really bummed out this morning. I have been insanely busy this week potty training and running errands. I’ve been shooting photos and snapping my heart away all week long, keeping up with my Project 365. I had intentions of editing my heart out today. Last night I went to upload all of my photos and they were gone. Don’t know how, don’t know why, but gone. Everything I shot this week…I was heartbroken. Never had that happen. Thank GOD there weren’t any session photos on there. So, instead today I’m linking up another shot, an older shot, for Macro Friday…
